From bare lips to finish. I've always wanted to wear red lipstick but am intimidated by all the lip pencils, fillers, different types of lipstick, top coats, etc. What is the best way to do it and what products would you recommend?What is the best way to apply red lipstick?
Buff your lips with an old toothbrush or flannel so your lips are flake free
Maybe use the tiniest smudge of chap stick to work as a base.
If you want to, draw a faint line in lip liner on the natural line of your lip. Try to get the lip stick and liner very similar shades.
Apply one coat and blot lightly with tissue. Some people prefer to use a lip brush as opposed to putting the lipstick straight onto the lips. This means you get a gradual and even build up of colour.
Keep on applying and blotting until you get the shade you're looking for
Use a product such as Lipcote [which I highly reccomend] to make sure the colour stays.

Red lipstick tends to bleed a lot and get blotchy. The best thing to do is get a matte color in the red shade you like. Outline with a matching pencil first and then blot with pressed face powder. Fill in with lipstick and you're good to go.
Word to the wise-If your teeth are even a little bit yellowed, it won't be attractive at all.

If you go to youtube, search for a girl named XSPARKAGE She has a really good tutorial called ';The perfect red lip tutorial.'; I think that would help a lot.
put a little chapstick on ur finger and mushy it all over ur lips. then line ur lips with either a red or tan liner. then apply a matt red lipstick and if u want, put a clear gloss over. TAAA DAAAA

HELP!!! Does anyone know the best way to get lipstick out of a carpet?
My 17 month old son has found a lipstick of mine, god only knows where and has drawn and stamped it on the carpet, think is is a budding picasso. The lipstick is bright pink and the carpet is oatmeal! My life won't be worth living if my husband sees this please help.HELP!!! Does anyone know the best way to get lipstick out of a carpet?
Buy a product called Greased Lightning.Lipstick is oil based and this product will remove any type of grease.Find it at any supermarket.Use it sparingly as it is strong and a small amount goes a long way.It's the best product on the market for removing any type of grease or oil.

I know of only one sure way to remove lipstick and that is with a cleaner that is from EcoQuest.com. It is called EcoH and is basically a natural product. It works amazingly well. It took RED lipstick off of my white vanity stool. It even took off permanent marker on an old file cabinet that was given to me.
No scrubbing involved. Just fix amount as per label with hot to warm water. Spray or pour. Let stand a moment and pat to lift with a clean towel. I've used it on some sofa cushions after my daughter's dog pee'd on it. I just poured it on there, put it outside to dry and when I pressed my face into the cushion it smelled really great!
It has many uses and is safe enough to use to wash your fruits and vegetables. I wish I could give you more info but I haven't been in contact with them for several years. I am in an 18 wheeler now.
Get a fork (that you wont be eating with) and pick the rest of the pieces of lips stick out of the carpet. Then use Hot water and Original Scent Pine Sol. Scrub FULL strength with a scrub brush, Then, pour water on the spot....let it sit for a few minutes....then rub in Ammonia.
Lipstick in the carpet..........Freaky

it depends on the pigmentation in your lips. I think browns look gret in general. especially with a hint of bronze. Try ';Oh Baby'; by MAC. It looks amazing on all skin colors. Good luck!

I myself like to wear cotton candy lipstick with clear gloss on top of it and it really wear well I haven't had any complaints.
Line your lips with a nude lip pencil to give them definition, then rub a bit of the lipliner pencil into your lips, finally top with a sheer or nude gloss.
Sephora has fantastic lip color for every skin type, and maybelline wet shine diamonds in ';sand'; rocks too.
I'm dark skeined too and trust me it is really hard to find the absolute correct color and shade for your lips 1 very good tip is never use red it does not look right unless your a bit light the best color for me is a little lightly colored brown not to light and definitely not to dark you don't want it to blend in with your skin.

I remember a few years ago when everyone had the 2 part long lasting lipsticks- the first part was the color, and the second part was the gloss/shine. While it lasted longer than normal lipstick, I didn't like the way it felt on my lips. Have they gotten better since then?
